Do they know?
Is there a love like ours
Elsewhere in dark, vast space? Can others feel its power In some far away place? Does the sight of her golden spots Set his heart on fire? Does she think of his bulging ridges With tenderness and desire? Do they sit up-side-down at sunset Sharing a bowl of sweet goo? Watching a methane ocean Just like we like to do? Do their horns touch Like ours are touching right now How do they know they´re a match? Can they, too, feel it somehow? Do they crawl in a crystal forest With the tentacles intertwined? When she watches over their eggs Does he bring her nourishing slime? When they look up to the sky Searching for us in space Can they feel the Eternity´s pulse Inside their own cells? When seeing the Universe´ glory And galaxies in their prime Can they recall their story Since the beginning of time? Can they feel right from the start Or learn it in the end?
